They willingly pose for photos (what else do they have to do?) and expect token remuneration which photographers are happy to pay (e.g., anywhere from 1 to 5 Egyptian Pounds -- at the time of our visit in December, 2010, one U.S. Dollar bought about 6 Egyptian Pounds).
